If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that travel is a passion of mine. I took an incredible trip to Italy this year, and since I know it’s a dream destination for many, I thought I’d share with you my experience, tips, and other essential notes to make your visit a dream come true!
The Amalfi Coast was the perfect destination for me. I love the water and the beach (no wonder I’ve lived in Charleston, Savannah, and now moving to Rhode Island!) so it was a dream.
FAVORITE MOMENT:
- Positano. Positano was absolutely my favorite place. It’s where the book and movie Under the Tuscan Sun are based, and you immediately know why! It’s like a fairy tale city, with traditional walls and colorful houses built into a mountain, with flowers and beaches at the bottom.
TOP EXPERIENCES:
- Beachside lounging. You absolutely have to spend time at the beach! It’s like what I imagine beaches were like on the Old Hollywood days, with colorful umbrellas. There’s bar service on the beach; tip your server right away (we gave ours a $20) and you can get food from multiple restaurants, champagne on ice, and more… we felt like celebrities! Chairs and lounging are available too.
- Linen shopping.
- Friendly people.
MUST PACK:
- Beach gear! Swimsuits, sunscreen, sunglasses, and flip-flops.
