This week, we’re excited to feature Christina Gillette and her amazing post-baby PiYo before and after results. Christina made a commitment to her workout regime after her daughter’s birth and has made remarkable progress in such a short time. Check out her PiYo before and after photos! My daughter was born on February 15, 2015. I was committed to getting back into shape after my daughter’s birth and began walking about two weeks after she was born and slowly started running again shortly after that. I started PiYo in June. To put things in perspective, I could do about two push-ups and five sit-ups when I began the program.

I chose PiYo and Lindsey as my trainer because her results motivated me to drop those last unwanted pounds for good. I knew Lindsey leaned out and lost a lot of weight on her PiYo journey, which was inspiring for someone like me who was looking to get back into shape. I was tempted to try 21 Day Fix, but ultimately knew I wanted something that would help me stretch out and get lean.

PiYo provides strength and stretching in short workouts. I was looking for something that would allow me to define muscle and increase strength while being gentle enough for me to heal after my daughter’s birth. PiYo did all this for me and so much more!

After the first few workouts, I began to feel stronger. The scale didn’t move but my clothes began to fit again, which was a huge win. My husband completed the program with me; he provided support along the way and gently motivated me to never miss a workout.

Strength vs. Scale

My biggest struggle was dealing with my weight not going down right away. I drank Shakeology every day and ate a generally clean diet. I had to remember that my body was transforming and had been through a lot in recent months. It was through consistent workouts, gentle daily motivation from my supporters and a commitment to feel good and be fit that helped keep me motivated to reach my goals.

Even though the scale wasn’t moving, I felt better. During and after completing PiYo, I have more energy and confidence. My husband and I are now able to workout together again, which is something we enjoyed before becoming parents.

Not only that, but the greatest victory by far was not only passing my army physical fitness test but doing really well in it! For someone who couldn’t complete two push-ups just a few months earlier, it was amazing how much stronger I had become.

Final Thoughts

I recommend PiYo to everyone! If someone is looking to define their body through low impact moves, this program will do it. Even if you are fit, this program is a great supplement to running or other cardio programs.
