By now, we’ve learned that Beachbody’s newest nutrition program 2B Mindset truly lives up to its name.

It’s not a diet; it’s a mindset.  This plan truly gives you food freedom so that you can not only lose weight, but also enjoy the process. 

There are no forbidden food groups or things you can’t have.  It’s not about deprivation; it’s about learning to enjoy the foods you love in a way that still allows you to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.  You literally can have your cake and eat it too!  There no need to starve and there’s no need to be without your favorite foods.  And hey, if you want seconds, you can totally have another helping!

No, really.  You just need to adhere to the simple 2B Mindset principles before you go reaching for your favorite treat.

So, as we’ve learned, the main focus is water first and veggies most.  Veggies are the base and the biggest part of your meals (breakfast excluded).  So, what do you do when you finish your meal and you’re still hungry?  What if you’re craving something like a bag of chips or some chocolate?  Well, don’t panic because both of those things are possible with 2B Mindset!

Say you’re hungry for seconds or craving your favorite treat.  You’re just going to do what you would normally do before enjoying a meal on 2B Mindset:  You’ll drink your water first.  If you’re still hungry, you’ll eat your veggies first.  If you’re still hungry, you’ll have some good, satisfying protein.  If by then you’re still craving your favorite treat, HAVE IT! 

No, really.  You can have it.  There’s no catch.  Once you’ve done all of that, have your sweet treat.  Just be sure to TRACK IT.

More often than not, you’ll find that you are satisfied by some water and some veggies and protein.  You might even find that yeah, you’re still craving your treat, but you won’t eat as much of it as you would have had you not reached for water, veggies, and protein first because you went into your treat satisfied.  Eventually, you’ll see that you’ll crave those goodies less and less.

By going through the cycle of water, veggies, and protein before reaching your treat, you’ll be enjoying your treats in the spirit of 2B Mindset and you’ll have WON the battle against mindless snacking.  If you reach the end of your cycle and you still want your treat, then by all means, HAVE IT and enjoy the heck out of it! 

Just don’t forget to track and you’ll be good to go
