Eating out can seem daunting when you first commit to a Paleo lifestyle.
Once you get comfortable knowing what to avoid and what you can eat, dining out – and ordering cocktails with the girls on a Friday night! – gets so much easier. The sneaky things are what foods are cooked in, sauces, dressings. With drinks, it’s usually the mixes that are hiding sugar. Understanding what’s on the menu and how you can simplify the recipe to fit your diet is not as difficult as it sounds.Even fast food can be done well if you know where to go and what to ask for.
If you don’t see anything on the menu you think you can have, ask your server if you can order off menu or a la carte. I have found that when I am upfront with the server about what I can and cannot have, they are very receptive and helpful.
What To Look For When Eating Out:
